It’s St Nicholas’ Day today and a great way to tell the kids a story about the original Santa and how good he was at blessing other people.Weirdly, we have two books in our christmas book bag with stories about St Nicholas which are completely different. VeggieTales versus Marks and Spencer, who’s your money on for authenticity?
The kids have put their shoes outside their rooms which is traditional on St. Nicolas Day in a lot of European countries. Despite having done it last year the kid’s couldn’t remember what this was for. JM helpfully told them that St. Nicholas would leave a poo in their shoes. Thanks for that. A pound coin and some chocolate is what I had been planning. But hey, if he’s happy to clean out the shoes…actually, no that’s just gross any way you think about it.
I’m hoping to keep posting but both our laptops are now not working, so it may be a bit of a challenge!
Oh you have to find a way… go to an internet cafe, drive to carrick, keep them coming!
Love the poo, on so many levels!
Shoes outside the door here too, and ours had also forgotten. We relied on google and my half forgotten experience of being whipped by a Krampus on Dec 6th!
PS No excuses, you can use our Internet/ computer any time
